GMU boasts fine teaching and scientific research environment. GMU has 1 Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Control Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education of China, 1 National Key Laboratory for Major Disease New Drug Target Discovery and New Drug Creation under joint development，and 24 provincial research platforms, including the Central Soviet Area Medical History and Health China Strategic Research Center, the Key Laboratory of Cerebrovascular Pharmacology of Jiangxi Province, etc. GMU, the People’s Government of Zhanggong District of Ganzhou, as well as the high-level expert teams at home and abroad, have set up Gannan Institute of Innovation and Translational Medicine in Ganzhou, Jiangxi province. Over past years, GMU undertook more than 200 NSFC projects. GMU wins 1 National Science and Technology Progress Award, and 41 provincial and ministerial level scientific research achievement awards. Research papers concerned have been published in the Cell, Lancet oncology, European Urology, Hepatology, Nature Communications, etc
