On July 10, the Hongyi Association held a Release Ceremony of the Textbook on Introduction to Red Health Culture, as well as the academic seminar on the Hongyi Spirit and the ideological and political education of medical students in the fight against COVID-19. The meeting was organized by Jinggangshan University and co-organized by GMU via live video streaming. Zeng Zexin, the Deputy Secretary of GMU Party Committee, Liao Zhiping, the Director of the Department of Propaganda, and the relevant leaders of the Division of Academic Affairs, the Strategic Research Center of Medical and Health History in Central Soviet Area and Health China and the School of Marxism, attended the meeting.

The opening ceremony as well as the release ceremony was held in the morning. At the release ceremony of the Introduction to Red Health Culture of the planned textbooks for the higher medical universities, Hu Chunxiao, the Secretary of Jiangganshan University Party Committee, and Zeng Jianping, the President of Jiangganshan University, issued the textbooks to the medical students on the spot. Professor Zhao Qun, the Dean of School of Marxism of China Medical University, introduced the publication of the textbook, and Lin Jinan, the Deputy Editor-in-chief of Higher Education Press, made a speech.

The Introduction to Red Health Culture was officially published by the China Higher Education Press in May this year after a year of compilation, modification and improvement by 9 allied universities and colleges.
Lin Jinan pointed out that the Red Health Culture and the Hongyi Spirit were both important parts of the red culture resources, and the textbook Introduction to Red Health Culture was the latest achievement of red culture resources made by the Hongyi Association.
6 experts from China Medical University, GMU, Yanan University, Zunyi Medical University, Harbin Medical University and Jinggangshan University, were invited to deliver speeches in the meeting.

Professor Liu Shanjiu of GMU introduced the great practice and achievements of the medical and health of the Communist Party and the Red Army in the Central Soviet Period, which provided important theoretical support for the exploration of connotation and contemporary value of the red culture and the Hongyi Spirit.
