On May 9, Liu Hui, President of the Fifth People’s Hospital of Ganzhou, led the directors of the relevant departments to GMU for cooperation. GMU Vice-President Peng Weijie attended the meeting. Fan Xiaona, the Director of Division of Scientific Research hosted the meeting. The relevant directors of the Scientific Research Center, School of Basic Medicine Science (SBMS) and School of Pharmacy (SP) and Doctors attended the meeting.

    On behalf of GMU, Peng Weijie first extended welcome to Liu Hui and highly praised the hospital's efforts in COVID-19 prevention and control. He also extended heartfelt thanks to the valuable samples for novel coronavirus research. Peng Weijie introduced the development of GMU in detail over past years, and pointed out that under the new powerful leadership, GMU’s connotation construction achieved sustainable development through the 5 Engineering Construction. He hoped both parties, in the spirit of openness, sharing and mutual benefit, will cooperate in the nucleic acid testing of COVID-19, mechanisms of tuberculosis resistance, prevention of pneumoconiosis, AIDS and hepatitis B so as to do cooperation in the research of basic and clinical medicine sciences.
    Liu hui hoped GMU to give support in terms of disciplines development, the cooperation of scientific research and the application of graduates’ supervisors in the future.
  During the informal meeting, the participating Doctors of GMU introduced their respective research fields and results, and discussed the cooperation with the directors of relevant departments of the Fifth People’s Hospital of Ganzhou.
    Liu Hui and the delegation also visited the GMU Scientific Research Center.
