On the afternoon of May 14, GMU held a seminar on Challenges and Opportunities in COVID-19 Prevention and Control. President Liu Qian attended it and delivered a speech. Vice-President Peng Weijie hosted the meeting.

    During the meeting, Liu Hui, President of The Fifth People’s Hospital of Ganzhou, and Li Jianhua, Deputy Director of Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Ganzhou, made reports respectively, namely “The Construction and Reflection of Infection and Treatment System in COVID-19”, “The Prevention and Control Work of Post-COVID-19 Era, as well as The Preventive Medicine Education and Cooperation between GMU and Local Government”. Xu Xiaojun, Ouyang Songmao, Luo Yiguo, Hou Liang, Xie Yanmei and other representatives of medical aid team in Hubei Province, attended the meeting and shared their experiences.

    Liu Qian pointed out that GMU’s active deeds in COVID-19 prevention and control gave a display to Hongyi Spirit and sense of responsibility. He said GMU should grasp the policy opportunities of national higher education, scientific research and medical treatment so as to further promote the “5 Projects” Construction and enhance GMU’s comprehensive strength。
    The relevant personnel of Division of Development Plan，Division of Discipline Construction, Academic Affairs Division, Division of Scientific Research, School of Basic Medicine Sciences (SBMS), Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education and FAHGMU, attended the meeting.
