On February 28, Liu Qian, GMU President and the head of the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Panel, presided over the meeting for the Public Health talent training , promoting the training of public health talents.
    Liu Qian pointed out that the COVID-19 prevention and control was not only a test for GMU, but also a challenge for the cultivation of medical talents, especially the public health talents.

    Liu Qian put forward the following requirements. First, the requirements from the Jiangxi Province and GMU must be implemented strictly. Second, taking the the epidemic prevention and control as an opportunity, GMU should speed up the establishment of School of Public Health and intensify the construction of preventive medicine, public health etc. Third, the education and teaching reform should be carried out solidly. Students of public health majors were encouraged to actively participate in the school epidemic prevention and control work and write graduation papers on epidemic prevention and control work so as to constantly improve the quality of public health personnel training and highlight the professional level and responsibility of GMU for training medical talents.
