The Spring Festival is approaching. In order to combine "Building Virtue and Cultivating Talents" with "Financial Aid", from January 14 to 20, GMU Vice-President Ye Junming led a team to visit the Financially Stricken Students’ Families (FSSF), expressing sincere New Year's blessing and building a "bridge" for the families and GMU. At the same time, each school of GMU also led a team to visit the FSSF. 20 poor families were visited in total.

On January 14, Ye Junming, together with teachers concerned, went to visit the FSSF in Dukou Road, Zhanggong District and Nankang District, presenting some comforts. Ye Junming asked the students about their daily performance, plans after graduation, family income and parents' physical conditions, and encouraged the students to take good care of their families with the knowledge, face difficulties bravely, march forward bravely, be motivated and always be grateful. During the visit, the FSSF parents expressed gratitude to GMU and said that they would try their best to overcome the difficulties, help the students complete their studies smoothly and enter the society in the future. The students interviewed also said that they will be more active and diligent in their study and life and repay their families, schools and society with their good performance and excellent results.

Visiting the FSSF is one of the important measures to keep close contact with students. It is also an important measure for the school to implement the precise aid and subsidy policy, build a linkage platform between GMU and the students’ family, and implement the aid and education work.
