On the evening of June 19, the School of Basic Medicine Sciences (SBMS) held a special report on “The Most Beautiful Heroes for the Fight against COVID-19” in the Administrative Building. All the teachers of the Students Affairs Office and the students’ representatives of Batch 2018 and Batch 2019 attended the lecture.
    Lu Xiaokui, an alumnus of GMU from Batch 2011, was invited as the most beautiful hero to share his feelings and experience about the fight against the pandemic. He shared his stories and experience from 3 aspects, namely “Learning”, “Gratitude” and “Life”. In the face of the outbreak of COVID-19, he volunteered to go to the frontline with the medical aid team. He started to work immediately after arriving at the People’s Hospital of Sui County and transformed the hospital strictly. During the fight against the pandemic, he continuously learned and summarized experience and did his utmost to offer the better service for patients. He said that the fight was a process of mutual gratitude. Namely, the patients thanked doctors. The local doctors thanked the fellows of medical aid team and the doctors aiding Hubei Province thanked the Communist Party of China and their departments. After returning to Ganzhou, he went back to his original post, and what differing was the daily work of the pandemic prevention and control.
    Finally, students asked questions actively and the lecture ended up with a pleasant atmosphere. Students paid tribute to the frontline medical workers, and they said that they will actively learn the selfless and fearless spirit of medical workers, and take care of patients regardless of national boundaries.
