In late July, Tang Hong, the Director of the Department of Psychology, and another 4 teachers were invited to the TV station in Ganzhou Middle School to record the Online Mental Health Class which went online on a public service platform for educational resources of Jiangxi Province.

    The class was set for teachers, students and parents of all primary and secondary schools in Ganzhou, and it was divided into teachers’ special session and parents’ one. In the class, Tang Hong, Liu Xiaozhen, Wan Dezhi and Hu Wen answered the questions on “How does a child have depressed mood”, “How can parents agree on how to raise their children”, “When students feel isolated, what does the head teacher do”, “How head teachers better guide the left-behind children” and so on.

    The class gave full play to the professional advantages of the Department of Psychology, which not only provided guidance for the construction of harmonious teacher-student relationship, but also helped parents to master scientific parenting methods, so as to improve the mental health literacy of young children in Ganzhou. The class was welcomed by teachers and students, with over 1. 94 million views so far.
