From February 26 to 27, the First Affiliated Hospital of GMU (FAHGMU) launched the blood donation activities in the 2 branches. 543 employees and their families actively participated in the activities. Blood donation was made by appointment in different periods, constituting the total blood donation volume of 188,100 ml, which effectively guaranteed the clinical use of blood and the normal diagnosis and treatment of the hospital during the pandemic prevention and control period, and provided strong support for fight against the pandemic and the resumption of work.

    Although the blood donation was in a special period of pandemic prevention and control in the hospital, it was positively responded by the staff of the hospital. The angels in white at the blood donation site said that it was the duty of medical staff to save the dead and help the wounded. Although they can't go to the forefront of Hubei Province to fight against the pandemic, they can donate blood to make contributions to the country.
