From March 24 to 31, the Second Affiliated Hospital of GMU (SAHGMU) organized a medical team to carry out outpatient special chronic disease identification services, health consultation and education activities in Xintian Town, Xiaojiang Town, Zhengping Town (Jiudu), Chongxian Town, TieShiKou Town, Gupi Town and Xiaohe Town of Xinfeng County in combination with local health centers.

    The medical team actively did the COVID-19 prevention and control and common chronic disease prevention and health knowledge publicity, actively provided health consultation services for the needy, guided rational drug use, use of Poverty Alleviation Policies, and taught them to seek medical advice scientifically. Each team served more than 300 people a week, distributed more than 900 copies of various publicity materials, and successfully handled 114 patients with various chronic diseases.
     This year is the final year of the fight for poverty alleviation. In the special period of the pandemic, the SAHGMU took the initiative to take the responsibility, formulated the implementation plan of the hospital's health poverty alleviation work in time in combination with its own reality, and established a leading group of health poverty alleviation work led by the SAHGMU President Liu Zhenyu based on the mode of “1 Clinical Department for 1 Town”, assisting the assisted towns to actively and steadily promote medical assistance and other poverty alleviation work and providing convenient, affordable and efficient medical services for the local people, especially the poor.
