On the afternoon of April 11, Gannan Medical University (GMU) and Semmelweis University (Hungary) convened a virtual meeting to discuss collaborative opportunities. The session was attended by Dr. MARCEL POP, Director of International Affairs at Semmelweis University, Tamás Hegedüs, Director of the Alumni Office, Fanni Matyasovski, Project Coordinator at the International Affairs Office, and Zhong Fuyou, Associate Dean of International Education College of GMU.
In his opening remarks, Zhong Fuyou provided an overview of GMU and outlined GMU’s cooperation objectives. He emphasized GMU’s commitment to open education and international collaboration, stating that the meeting marked an important opportunity to deepen mutual understanding. Specifically, he highlighted the desire to exchange detailed views on a three-month overseas clinical internship program and achieve a win-win partnership for talent cultivation and shared medical education resources.
Dr. MARCEL POP introduced Semmelweis University’s profile, noting the university’s strong emphasis on its collaboration with GMU. He assured that Semmelweis University would provide full support and customized services for the upcoming clinical internship program, expressing eagerness to launch the partnership as soon as possible.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on student exchange initiatives and the drafting of a university-level cooperation memorandum, reaching consensus on key matters. The meeting laid a solid foundation for establishing long-term, stable inter-university relations and advancing future collaborative projects.
