In order to effectively improve the traffic safety awareness of international students and build a strong campus safety defense line, on October 13, the Institute of International Education and the traffic police department of Rongjiang New District jointly held a rich traffic safety lecture. Zhong Fuyu, vice dean of the School of International Education, international student management teachers and international students of the college participated in this lecture.
At the event site, the traffic police interacted with international students in China, asked about their understanding of traffic safety, and systematically interpreted road traffic safety laws and regulations in combination with the cognitive habits and life scenes of international students, covering the specific requirements of daily travel such as the legal definition of electric bicycles and electric motorcycles, the prohibition of driving without a license, the wearing of safety helmets, the prohibition of carrying people, the road speed limit, the prohibition of running red lights, the prohibition of driving in non-motorized lanes, the prohibition of drunk driving, and the prohibition of changing lanes at will.
In order to further strengthen safety awareness, the traffic police also played a number of videos of traffic safety accident cases. Through shocking accident pictures and painful consequences, they warn students in a strong and intuitive way that ignoring traffic rules is by no means a "small matter". They may not only face legal punishment, but also directly threaten the lives of themselves and the safety of others. After the lecture, the traffic police registered the electric vehicles of international students in the school one by one.
This traffic publicity activity has brought a vivid and profound traffic safety "compulsory course" to the international students of the college, which has effectively improved everyone's awareness of traffic safety prevention. The Institute of International Education will continue to strengthen the safety education for international students, including traffic safety, and constantly strengthen the awareness of the rule of law and the concept of rules for international students, so as to provide a more solid guarantee for the construction of a safe campus and an international education environment.
