During September 12 to 13, the registration work of freshmen was conducted smoothly. GMU leaders, Liu Qian, Huang Ruizhong, Ye Junming and Zhang Xiaokang, arrived at the site to guide work and communicated with the parents, which leaders of the relevant departments accompanied the visit.
    On September 12, President Liu Qian visited the registration sites, parents’ rest area and the dining hall of each School and had a detailed understanding of the students’ enrollment and check-in work. Liu Qian pointed out the importance of the parents reception work, and asked each department to conscientiously do the service work and implement the security work.

    Affected by the pandemic, the registration was based on 3 principles, namely, the simplified process, target-clear service and security. After the check-in work, counselors established the QQ and We-chat groups, organized students to sign GMU “3 Civilizations” commitments and so on. Besides, GMU arranged welcoming bus at the railway station and other stations to provide pickup services for freshmen and parents. Meanwhile, counselors and students’ volunteers were also assigned to guide freshmen to check in at the West Gate of GMU. With the cooperation of all departments, the freshmen registration work was orderly and efficient, which was highly praised by freshmen and their parents.
    By 20:00, September 13, 2,462 Batch 2020 students were enrolled and they would start a new journey in GMU.

    It is known that a series of freshmen education activities such as the military training, security training, and psychological health education and so on will be conducted.
