On September 11, the Seminar on Talent Training of Biomedical Engineering Majors (TTBEM) in 2020 between Jiangxi Province and Shenzhen City was held in the Huangjin Campus. Professor Chen Siping, the former Vice-President of Shenzhen University (SZU) and another 3 experts were invited to the seminar and Vice-President Ye Junming attended the seminar.
    Before the meeting, President Liu Qian met with 4 visiting experts and had an in-depth exchange of views on relevant work.

    During the meeting, Wang Tianfu, the Associate Dean of Medical School of SZU, gave a report on “The Development of Biomedical Engineering of SZU”. Dr Dong Lei, the Director of Biomedical Engineering Laboratory of SZU, made a report on “The Construction of Experimental Teaching System for Biomedical Engineering Major”. Associate Professor Jiang Shaofeng, the Director of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Nanchang Hangkong University (NCHU), made a report on “The Professional Development of Biomedical Engineering of NCHU”. Professor Sheng Yaohuan, the Dean of the School of Information Engineering (SIE) of GMU, made a report on “The Professional Development of Biomedical Engineering of GMU”.

    The participating experts had a heated discussion and had an in-depth exchange on the issues of biomedical engineering majors in the construction of laboratory and teaching staff, and cooperation between GMU and enterprise, etc.

    The seminar promoted the further exchange and cooperation between GMU and SZU and universities of Jiangxi Province in biomedical engineering, and opened up new ideas for improving the level of the construction of biomedical engineering majors.
    All the teachers of the Division of Academic Affairs and SIE, and some students’ representatives attended the seminar.
