On the morning of September 29, GMU held a Report Meeting and the Commendation Meeting of the Achievements in the Fight against COVID-19 in the Huangjin Campus. GMU leaders, Li Gongjin, Liu Qian, Zeng Zexin, Chen Liang, Huang Ruizong, Ye Junming, Xiao Shuhui, Zhang Xiaokang, Gan Yafen, Liao Zhiping, Lai Chuanjing, attended the meeting. Zeng Zexin, the Deputy Secretary of GMU Party Committee, served as the host.

    6 anti-pandemic representatives from the First Affiliated Hospital of GMU (FAHGMU) and the Third Affiliated Hospital of GMU (TAHGMU) delivered speeches respectively, including Xu Xiaojun, the Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of FAHGMU, Ouyang Songmao, the Deputy Director of ICU of FAHGMU, Yuan Xiaoliang, the Director of Pneumology Department of FAHGMU, Wu Jiajian, the physician of TAHGMU, Xie Yanmei, the Head Nurse of ICU Department of FAHGMU, and Chen Yijian, the Vice-President of FAHGMU, which students’ representatives presented flowers to them.

    The commendation meeting began with the solemn national anthem.
    GMU President Liu Qian hosted the meeting.
    Vice-President Huang Ruizhong read out the Decision of GMU on Honoring Advanced Unit and Individuals in Fighting against the Pandemic. 
    Members of GMU Party Committee awarded the certificates to advanced units and individuals.

    On behalf of GMU Party Committee, Li Gongjin, the Secretary of GMU Party Committee, expressed heartfelt thanks and respect to the advanced units and individuals, frontline medical workers, teachers, students, etc.
    Li Gongjin pointed out that GMU should implement the arrangements of the central government and contribute to the pandemic prevention and control.
Li Gongjin stressed that the fight against the pandemic inspired teachers and students a lot.

    Li Gongjin required that GMU should implement the fundamental task of education and promote the quality development.
    Li Gongjin said that the fight against the pandemic also show the spirit and responsibility of GMU.
    More than 400 participants attended the meeting.
