On the afternoon of September 29, Xiao Shuhui, the Secretary of Disciplinary Inspection Committee of GMU, led the Office of Party Committee, the Office of Disciplinary Inspection Committee, Students Affairs Division, Youth League Committee, Logistics Group and other relevant departments to supervise the food wasting behavior of dormitory and canteen.
    During the inspection of the students’ dormitory, Xiao Shuhui asked the counselors about students’ dinning and wasting situation, and demanded to strengthen the consumption guidance, food safety and civilized dormitory management. He checked the use of students’ public washing machines, and demanded the Dormitory Management Department to urge relevant units to regularly disinfect the machines to prevent the spread of diseases. In the canteen, the inspection group checked the propaganda of opposing food wasting and other special video of food saving, and they also had an understanding of some food saving measures. What’s more, they asked the Logistics Group to regularly carry out the incentive activities to help students to develop good saving habits.

    Xiao Shuhui demanded that in order to further strengthen the publicity, the relevant departments must create a dense atmosphere of saving through posting publicity albums, establishing collective signature commitment system, holding the class meeting, etc. Each department should take effective measures to correct the waste behavior and avoid wasting.
