On September 9, Li Gongjin, the Secretary of GMU Party Committee, President Liu Qian and other leaders of GMU visited the teachers’ representatives, extending congratulations and thanks for their contributions to the development of GMU’s education due to the approaching of the 36th Teacher’s Day. The visiting group also extended their thanks and congratulations to all teachers.

    Visiting SBMS and the School of Information Engineering （SIE）successively, Li Gongjin shook hands with teachers and chatted with them. During the visit in School of Basic Medicine Sciences (SBMS), Li Gongjin had a detailed understanding of teachers’work and life, listened to their opinions and suggestions on GMU’s work, and communicated with teachers’ representatives on teaching reform and the of platform construction, etc.
    During the visit in SIE, Li Gongjin affirmed the achievements in recent years. He also had a discussion with the participating teachers on issues such as professional education, scientific research, biomedical engineering professional degree application, student training and so on. The participants actively expressed their opinions.

    Li Gongjin pointed out that teachers should keep in mind that teaching and educating students is the first priority and that teachers should give full play to students’ enthusiasm and creativity.
    Li Gongjin stressed that each School should aim at the application, the combination between medical and engineering, and the cooperation between GMU and enterprises.
Li Gongjin demanded that all teachers should always keep in mind the fundamental task of cultivating students through moral education and work for the development of socialist builders and successors with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education.

    President Liu Qian visited Ye Jun and Peng Qin, presenting flowers and congratulations, which he also thanked all the teachers and medical workers of FAHGMU for their efforts and contributions. Zhang Xiaokang, the Secretary of Party Committee of FAHGMU, Gan Yafen, the Director of the Department of Organization of Party Committee, accompanied the visit.
    The relevant leaders of GMU, Chen Liang, Huang Ruizhong, Xiao Shuhui, Zhang Xiaokang and Peng Weijie, visited more than 10 representatives of each School and the Scientific Research Center.
    GMU’s concern and care has inspired all the representatives. They said that GMU has made exciting achievements in recent years, and they will do their best to do their job well, make new contributions with practical actions, and promote GMU’s development with more enthusiasm and better achievements.
