On September 8, the 1st Session of Rongjiang Forum in 2020, co-sponsored by the Scientific Research Center and the Association of Young Scientific Researchers of GMU, was carried out successfully. GMU Vice-President Peng Weijie, and Dr Tian Yuantong from the School of Pharmacy (SP) were invited to give lectures. The relevant workers, teachers’ representatives and students’ representatives of the School of Basic Medicine Sciences, SP, the School of Information Engineering, Scientific Research Center and Division of Scientific Research attended the forum.

Dr Tian Yuantong shared her stories, emphasized the importance of the academic exchanges and cooperation and encouraged the graduates to pay attention to the literature information mining and the cultivation of basic experimental design philosophy. Meanwhile, she reported the latest progress of anti-tumor targeted drugs, and expressed the need for scientific research cooperation inside the campus, hoped that the output of high-quality scientific research achievements will get promoted through cooperative research.

Taking the “3D Training System Construction and Bio-printing” as the theme, Peng Weijie explained in detail the concept of 3D training system in tissue engineering and its advantages and main construction methods compared to 2D training. Peng Weijie’s report was both comprehensive and technology-detailed, which benefited teachers and students present.
Peng Weijie pointed out that Rongjiang Forum was a platform for GMU teachers to display themselves and conduct academic exchanges, and he hoped that teachers could actively participate in the forum and suggested that the need for scientific research cooperation and difficulties resolution can be met through the Association of Young Scientific Researchers of GMU.
