As everyone knows, teachers are the foundation and the source of education. On the morning of September 10, the 36th Teachers’ Day, GMU held the Teachers’ Commendation Conference in the Huangjin Campus. GMU leaders, Liu Qian, Chen Liang, Huang Ruizhong, Ye Junming, Xiao Shuhui, Zhang Xiaokang and Peng Weijie, attended the meeting. President Liu Qian delivered a speech and Vice-President Ye Junming served as the host.

    The meeting began with the solemn national anthem.
    Over 130 new teachers solemnly swore that they would be loyal to the education of the CPC, fulfill duties, and become the benevolent teachers with firm faiths, high moralities and solid basic knowledge.

    Ye Junming read out the name list of the teachers who won the prize of “The 4th Teaching Competition for Young Teachers of Jiangxi Province”, “The Anti-pandemic Teaching Competition of Jiangxi Province”, “The Science and Technology Award of Jiangxi Province”, “The Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences”, etc. GMU leaders presented certificates and bonuses to the prize-winners, and new teachers presented flowers to the teachers’ representatives of various talent plans.

    Qiu Xiaohui, the representative of the Teaching Competition, Chen Yijian, the winner of scientific and technological award, Liu Zhiping, the representative of the talent plan, delivered their speeches successively.

    Liu Qian emphasized the significance of education and teachers. He said that GMU teachers had created extraordinary achievements and made contributions to the teaching, scientific research, clinical and other work and achieved fruitful results.
    Liu Qian stressed that teachers should strengthen the ideological guidance, spread positive energy, and constantly enhance their teaching ability and comprehensive strength, so as to do a great job in educating students. 
    Liu Qian required that all the teachers should work jointly to train talents with virtues and skills, and build a medical university with people’s satisfaction.

    The representatives of the prize-winners, excellent teachers and students, as well as the leaders of the relevant departments, with a total number of more than 300, attended the Conference.
