On July 2, Professor Xiong Sidong, the President of Suzhou University (SU), Tang Hong, the Director of Shanghai Pasteur Institute, Zheng Yongtang, the researcher of Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the forum. They made special academic reports on the hot issues of novel coronavirus research. President Liu Qian presided over the forum, GMU’s leaders, Huang Ruizhong, Ye Junming, Xiao Shuhui and Zhang Xiaokang, attended the forum.

Xiong Sidong introduced the naming, characteristics, nosogenesis and the latest situation of the novel coronavirus with the theme of The Difficulty and Ease of the COVID-19 Vaccine. He mainly explained the research types, the latest research progress and the difficulty and ease of the vaccine development, which his in-depth and straightaway explanation made people be full of confidence in the early development of COVID-19 vaccine.

Tang Hong made the report under the name T Cell Subtractive Syndrome: Mechanism of Viral Sepsis and Treatment Strategy, which he explained the effect and mechanism of novel coronavirus on T cell with many data and maps.

Zheng Yongtang made a detailed introduction of the non-human primate experimental animal model species and their characteristics with the theme of The Research of Primate Animal Models of AIDS and shared his research on living COVID-19 vaccine with non-human primate animal model. In the meantime, he told his friendship with GMU affectionately.
The vivid explanation and excellent reports won warm applause from the attendee.
