During August 3-4, the Summer Vacation Training Class for Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teachers in 2020 was held in the Academic Hall of the Zhanggong Campus. Vice-President Ye Junming attended the opening ceremony. More than 80 young and middle-aged backbone teachers from the Division of Academic Affairs and each School attended the training.

    In the opening ceremony, Ye Junming emphasized the meaning of teachers’ teaching development training and the significance of the summer training courses. He asked all the teachers to strictly abide by the training discipline during the period, enhance the initiative of learning and put what they had learned into practice.
    Experts from Jiangxi Normal University and Jinggangshan University were invited to deliver lectures in the class. The topics of the training included the integration of modern digital media and education, educational research topics and the application of teaching achievement awards, and the discussion of effective teaching strategies in college classrooms from the ecological perspective.
    During the training, the trainees showed up on time and actively participated in the training. They took the initiative to communicate and learn from experts after training. They said that they updated their ideas and cleared their directions in the training, which laid a foundation for improving the academic awareness and ability of teaching and enhancing the teaching level.
    It is reported that the summer vacation training for young and middle-aged teachers has become the normal work of GMU. In accordance with the requirements of the pandemic prevention and control, this year’s training was reduced in terms of scale and time, and the training has been changed to a combination of online and offline one. After the offline training, the Division of Academic Affairs, Teacher Development Center would organize a 3-day online training for young and middle-aged backbone teachers.
