On the morning of June 5, the 4th Session of the 9th Teachers Congress and the 10th Employee Congress were held in the Huangjin Campus. 166 representatives attended the session to discuss GMU’s reform and development plan.

The first plenary session and opening ceremony began with the national anthem. The Party Committee leaders, Li Gongjin, Liu Qian, Zeng Zexin, Chen Liang, Huang Ruizhong, Ye Junming, Zhang Xiaokang, Gan Yafen, Liao Zhiping, Lai Chuanjing, and the director of the Trade Union Wang Sikun attended the session. In addition, 134 official representatives from 13 delegations and 32 nonvoting representatives attended the session as well. Zeng Zexin, Deputy Secretary of GMU Party Committee, hosted the session.

President Liu Qian made GMU’s Administrative Work Report. The report comprehensively summarized the major work of GMU in 2019 and up to now, and clearly set out the major tasks for this year.
Liu Qian pointed out that GMU attached importance to the “5 Projects” Construction, actively strengthened the connotation construction and constantly deepened the reform of education and teaching in 2019, which had brought a bright future for GMU’s undertakings.

Liu Qian stressed that this year marked the end of building a moderately well-off society in an all-round way as well as the 13th Five-Year Plan.

The Work Report of GMU’s Trade Union, the GMU’s Financial Work Report, Financial Budget for 2020, the Proposal Work Report and the Implementation of the Opinions of Representatives at the Third Session (Written) were made in the session.
After the session, the representatives took the delegation as the unit to eva luate and discuss the relevant reports of GMU. They fully exercised their democratic rights to participate in politics, jointly drew up a development plan and provided suggestions for the reform and development of GMU.
Before the session, the preliminary meeting of the4th Session of the 9th Teachers Congress and the 10th Employee Congress were held. The meeting decided the major agenda and the list of the session’s presidium.
