On June 6, GMU held the 2020 Teaching Skills Final for Young Teachers in the Huangjin Campus. President Liu Qian and Vice-President Ye Junming guided the competition in person.
Before the competition, Liu Qian had an in-depth communication with the judges and encouraged the participants to calm down and obtain good results.
The competition was organized by the Division of Academic Affairs, Teacher Development Center and Trade Union, and 5 experts outside GMU were invited as judges. The competition was divided into 3 parts, namely Teaching Plan eva luation, Classroom Teaching and Teaching Reflection.

12 participants from over 9 Schools, including the School of Basic Medicine Science (SBMS), the School of the First Clinical Medicine (SFCM), School of Nursing (SN), etc., reached the final and gave a full display to their teaching style.

The judges made comments on each participant from 3 aspects, namely the teaching plan, teaching characteristics and teaching reflection.
After the fierce competition, Qiu Xiaohui from the School of Medical Information Engineering won the first prize. Lin Dongmei from the School of Nursing and Gu Yueming from the School of Rehabilitation the second prize. Song Jianming, Lai Suwen and Wu Bing the third prize, which they are from the School of the First Clinical Medicine, the School of Basic Medicine Science respectively.
The directors of relevant departments and teachers’ representatives watched the competition.
