On the morning of June 8, Luo Qin, Hu Jialin, the First-Class and the Second-Class inspectors of Forestry Bureau of Jiangxi Province, Xu Linchu, the Deputy Secretary of Academy of Forestry Sciences of Jiangxi Porvince, Gong Chun, the Director of Science and Technology Division, Ouyang Tianlin, the Director of Forestry Science and Technology Experiment Center of Jiangxi Province and Ye Rishan, the Deputy Director of Forestry Bureau of Ganzhou City, visited GMU and conducted a meeting. President Liu Qian, Vice-President Ye Junming and Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection Xiao Shuhui accompanied the delegation.

The delegation firstly came to the Ganzhou (Qingfeng) Pharmaceutical Valley, visited the Institute of Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements of GMU, and spoke highly of the successful transformation of relevant achievements developed by the 2011 Collaborative Innovative Center of Camellia in GMU.
The delegation visited GMU’s Camellia Research and Development Center Lab and communicated in-depth on the camellia talents development, scientific research platform, high value-added camellia products, the future exchanges and cooperation.
Luo Qin pointed out that GMU enjoyed strong scientific and technological strength and innovation ability in the research and development of camellia deep-processing products through years of accumulation. She hoped GMU to grasp the opportunity brought by National (Ganzhou, Jiangxi) Camellia Industry Park and concentrate the dominant forces on new product research and development and market expansion. GMU was requested to give full play to the vitality and creativity of young Doctoral research teams, and constantly improve the ability of technological and industrial innovation so as to realize the win-win result of discipline construction and local industry.
Hu Jialin fully affirmed the construction of the GMU’s camellia research and development platform and the research and development strength of back-end products, and stressed the importance of focusing on the characteristics of camellia resources and the selection of high-quality oil raw materials. He also suggested that GMU should conduct all-round dialysis from the leaves, flowers, fruits, stems, barks and residues of camellia, concentrate on several directions, and develop new products within 3-5 years so as to make contributions to the extension of the camellia industry chain.
Liu Qian extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He said that GMU will further integrate quality resources, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Forestry Bureau of Jiangxi Province, give full play to the school's talent and scientific research advantages, deepen production-university-research-application collaborative innovation, accelerate the R&D and transformation of camellia’s scientific and technological achievements, and strive to contribute to Jiangxi's socio-economic development.
