On June 19, the Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance (BRIMEA) held the 3rd Congress of the 1st Council and the 4th International Higher Medical Education Forum (IHMEF) via video. President Liu Qian hosted the 4th IHMEF as the co-chair of the forum.

    Under the special background of China’s decisive and comprehensive victory in the fight against COVID-19, the meeting was held with the theme of “Building a Community of Medical Education, Achieving the Great Goal of Human Health ”. And the council representatives from China and foreign countries delivered keynote speeches in 3 aspects, namely, fighting against the pandemic, promoting the reform and development of medical education and building a community of shared future for mankind in medical education. 
    It is reported that the BRIMEA is an international medical education alliance organized by China Medical University in May 2018. Currently, there are 54 council members from China and other countries along the Belt and Road.
