On the morning of May 26, on behalf of GMU leaders, Vice- President Chen Liang, as well as GMU Chairman of the Trade Union Wang Sikun, expressed sympathy to GMU Deputy Librarian Wu Xiaoming in Guangzhou and presented the donation of 105,960 Yuan to him.
    It is reported that Wu Xiaoming is the Deputy Librarian of the GMU Library, once served as the team leader as well as the major secretary in Luotian Villiage. In his library work and poverty alleviation period, he worked hard and made selfless dedications. He was successively awarded by the Poverty Alleviation & Development Leadership Group of Jiangxi Province, GMU, and the Huichang County Party Committee and Huichang County Government. His advanced deeds were reported by the Jiangxi Daily and Jiangxi Education TV Station.

    In April, 2019, Wu Xiaoming was diagnosed with advanced malignant lymphatic tumor and then he shifted to the Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Zhangshan University for treatment, where his condition get improved. Unfortunately, the tumor relapsed and even worsened in February this year. Therefore, he had to return to hospital. Currently, the treatment costs nearly 300,000 Yuan and the subsequent treatment is needed. Wu Xiaoming’s wife has to take care of him so that she can not work anymore and he will retire in June this year, which his own salary cannot afford the high cost of the treatment.
  Since Wu Xiaoming suffered from the disease, GMU’s leaders and the relevant departments have shown great concern and have done their utmost to help him. However, facing the high treatment cost, he has to cope with many difficulties. On May 13, Department of Organization of GMU Party Committee and Trade Union advocated all the Party members, leaders and faculty to help Wu Xiaoming. GMU leaders, the majority of Party members, teachers and retired teachers actively respond to the donation.
