On the morning of February 16, GMU held a symposium for the beginning of the new semester. Li Gongjin, the Secretary of GMU Party Committee, attended it and delivered a speech. GMU leaders, including Huang Ruizhong, GMU Vice-President and the Executive Deputy Group Leader of COVID-19 Prevention and Control in GMU and GMU Vice-President Ye Junming, attended the symposium which was presided over by Zeng Zexin, the Executive Deputy Group Leader of COVID-19 Prevention and Control in GMU, and it was attended by the deans and the departments concerned.

    During the meeting, Li Gongjin put forward requirements for the beginning in the new term. All departments of GMU were required to do well the following: First, the plans concerned must be made in detail. Second, the management measures must be specified. Third, online teaching must be well organized. Fourth, campus health must be improved. Fifth, GMU characteristics should be further give a display.

    Li Gongjin stressed that the current epidemic prevention and control was at a critical stage, and that scientific and orderly prevention and control was of vital importance. All GMU staff must implement the requirements concerned to ensure the health and life safety of teachers and students.
    Zeng Zexin, Huang Ruizhong and Ye Junming respectively put forward requirements for the plans of the new semester beginning, and relevant personnel raised their opinions and suggestions.
