GMU Holds the Promotion Meeting of Sino-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools

On the afternoon of September 4, GMU held a Sino-foreign cooperative school-running project promotion meeting with Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) in the United States. GMU Vice-President Ye Junming presided over the meeting and made a speech. Relevant leaders participated.
During the meeting, Huang Dong, the Dean of the School of International Education (SIE) and deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office, introduced in detail the relevant situation and current progress of the cooperative school-running project between GMU and LMU. Participants discussed the issues in terms of cost approval, enrollment, training and management. Specific solutions were also raised.
Ye Junming pointed out that Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools was in line with the development trend of higher education in China and it concerned the vital interests of students and the long-term development of GMU. GMU attached great importance to international exchanges and cooperation in running schools. He emphasized that the Sino-foreign cooperative school-running project aimed to promote discipline construction and faculty building, cultivate internationalized applied talents, and improve the level of teaching and scientific research. He demanded all relevant departments to clarify their responsibilities, fully do cooperation, improve the project management mechanism of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and do a solid job to promote the steady development of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.
