On September 4, GMU held a joint training seminar with Suzhou University for doctoral students. GMU President Liu Qian hosted the meeting. GMU Vice-President, the directors in charge of the Division of Postgraduates’ Affairs and the First Affiliated Hospital of GMU (FAHGMU), the part-time doctoral supervisors and the postgraduates attended the meeting.  
    During the meeting, the relevant departments made specific reports on the joint training of doctoral students, including the matters after enrollment, the connection of joint training process, and the development of topics.
    Ye Junming said that GMU attached great importance to the first doctoral training and will do its utmost to provide a good environment for the clinical research of doctoral students in strict accordance with the requirements of Suzhou University.
    Finally, Liu Qian emphasized that Ph.D. candidates carried the triple hopes of themselves, hospitals and schools. He hoped that teachers and students must attach importance to the study and research of Ph.D. courses. Ph.D. candidates should handle the relationship between work and study, and devote themselves wholeheartedly to studies so as to make contributions to the development of GMU and the affiliated hospitals.
