On April 29, it was learned from the Organizing Committee of the Blue Bridge Cup National Software and IT Contest (BBCNSITC) that 18 students from the School of Medical Information Engineering (SMIE) of GMU won good results in the Jiangxi division, including 6 first prizes, 9 second prizes and 3 third prizes. 6 winners of the first prizes of the provincial competition entered the National Finals. They are Wu Suyun and Ouyang Yunpeng majoring in Batch 2019 biomedical engineering who won the first prizes in the Embedded Design and Development University Group, Xu Yangmin and Lai Zhenghui majoring in Batch 2019 biomedical engineering who won the first prizes of EDA Design and Development University Group, and Liu Jinquan and Peng Yongqing majoring in Batch 2019 Internet of Things Engineering who won the first prizes in the Web Application Development University Group and Java Software Development University Group B respectively.

SMIE carried out the teaching reform with project driven as the core, constructed the second classroom system of "Open Laboratory -- Science and Technology Community -- Science and Innovation Competition", adhered to promoting learning through competition, comprehensively improved students' comprehensive quality and practical ability, and continuously promoted the training of applied talents featuring "medical engineering integration capacities" .
It is reported that the Blue Bridge Cup is a national special competition for software and information technology professionals organized by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. There are more than 1,600 participating schools, with a participation scale of more than 500,000 people, and the social recognition is very high.
