GMU Holds the Job Fair for This Year’s Graduates

On May 22, hosted by the Department of Education of Jiangxi Province, jointly organized by Ganzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Ganzhou Health Commission and GMU, and undertaken by Ganzhou Employment and Entrepreneurship Service Center and Ganzhou Human Resources Co., Ltd., "the Special Activity of Ganzhou 2022 Joint Recruitment of College Graduates in Large and Medium-sized Cities & the 2022 GMU Job Fair for Graduates Employment in Ganzhou" were held in the playground of Zhanggong Campus of GMU.

On the premise of strictly implementing the epidemic prevention and control requirements and measures, nearly 136 employers within Ganzhou participated, covering medical and health, bio-medicine, electronic information, rehabilitation, law and other majors, providing more than 6,200 jobs. It is understood that more than 1,000 graduates participated and submitted more than 2,600 resumes.

Wen Hai, Deputy Secretary General of the Peoples Government of Ganzhou, Fu Wei, deputy director of Ganzhou Municipal Health Commission, Zhang Xiaokang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and President of GMU, Peng Weijie, a member of the Party Committee and vice president of GMU, Gan Yafen, a member of the Party Committee and director of the Organization Department, went to the site, talked with representatives of the employers and graduates, understood in detail the talents needs of the employers and the employment intention of graduates, thanked the employers for selecting excellent graduates of GMU, and encouraged graduates to alternate their employment concept, cherish employment opportunities, actively respond to the call to stay in Jiangxi for employment and entrepreneurship, actively devote themselves to serving local economic and social development, and strive to realize ideals, aspirations and life values with unremitting struggle.

During the job fair, the graduates took the carefully-prepared resumes, carefully understood the employers information and talents needs, and consulted in detail about the development of enterprises and institutions, training and wages. The representatives of the employers actively interacted with the graduates and patiently answered the concerns of the graduates. At the entrance of the site, relevant departments staff interpreted relevant policy information face to face for graduates and provided all-round employment guidance services. According to incomplete statistics, more than 500 graduates of GMU reached preliminary employment intention at the job fair.

The job fair was broadcast on line synchronously. Peng Weijie received an exclusive interview and introduced excellent graduates on site, attracting many unemployed graduates inside and outside of the school to watch. The number of live viewers was up to 37,000 person-times.

It is reported that this job fair is an important measure for GMU to further promote the special action of visiting enterprises, expanding posts and promoting employment, and implement a series of activities such as the Ministry of Education's employment and entrepreneurship policy publicity month, Employment Promotion Week etc. The participating employers spoke highly of the preparations for the job fair, fully affirmed the professional ability and comprehensive quality of GMUs graduates, and expressed the hope to carry out deeper cooperation with GMU, establish internship and employment bases and reserve talents in advance.
