On the morning of October 16, the remarkable 20th National Congress of the CPC opened in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.GMU teachers and students focused on it, watching the live opening by way of media and hearing the report delivered by the General Secretary of CPC Xi Jinping on behalf of the 19th CPC Central Committee.  

GMU leaders from various levels watched the live opening. Each school Party Committee took kinds of forms to organize CPC members, teachers and students, the retirees, business travel staff to watch it carefully.

Taking 1 class as the unit, the head teachers organized the majority of college students to watch it in an orderly manner.

During the live broadcast of the opening, everyone was attentive, listened carefully and took notes from time to time. Everyone expressed the consensus that the 20th National Congress of the CPC was a very important conference held at a critical moment when the whole CPC and people of all ethnic groups embarked on a new journey of building a modern society in an all-round way and marched towards the second century goal. The goals, tasks and policies for the development of the cause of the Party and the country for 5 years or even longer were scientifically planned by the Congress, which played an important role in carrying forward the cause of the Party and the country into the future, building a socialist modern country in an all-round way, and promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in an all-round way. Standing at the great new historical starting point, each one should take more vigorous spirit, more full enthusiasm for work, and take practical actions to make new and greater contributions to building GMU into the domestic well-known high-level applied medical university featuring people's satisfaction.
