The SMIE insists on the philosophy of "promoting teaching and learning through competition", and teachers actively employ the extracurricular activities to carry out competitions, project training, etc. The contestants said that through centralized training, their mathematical modeling and computer capacities were effectively boosted, and that they were more confident in learning their majors well.
It is reported that the NUMMC was founded in 1992 and it is held once a year. It is one of the first 19 competitions listed in the "Ranking List of University Disciplines’ Competitions".
As one of the only 2 medical universities in Jiangxi Province, GMU participated in the NUMMC for the first time and achieved excellent results.
