Recently, it was learned from the organizing committee of the College Students’ Science and Technology Innovation Contest of Jiangxi Department of Education that students from the School of Medical Information Engineering of GMU performed excellently in the National College Students’ Electronic Design Contest (NCSEDC) in 2023 (Jiangxi Division). After 4 days and 3 nights’ consecutive hard work, the teams constituted by Fang Yuhao, Cao Linyun, and Guo Haifeng won the 2nd prize, while the teams of Zou Bingfeng, Yang Xiang, and Chen Jiatao the 3rd prize.

It is reported that the NCSEDC is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of China as well as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. Since its establishment in 1994, the contest has developed into one of the largest and highly influential subject contest in China, and it is one of the top ranked contests in the national college students’ competition rankings.

In recent years, the School of Medical Information Engineering of GMU has adhered to the principle of "Promoting Learning through Competitions, Teaching through Competitions, and Innovation through Competitions", gradually constructed the second classroom system with the aim at focusing on improving students' comprehensive quality and innovative practical abilities, so as to continuously promote the training of applied talents featuring "Medicine Engineering Integration" .
