On January 21, GMU held a launch ceremony for the construction project of Longnan Campus.
GMU President Zhang Xiaokang, Zhong Xuhui, Secretary of the Longnan Municipal Party Committee, GMU Vice-President Ye Junming, Peng Jiangmin, Deputy Secretary of Longnan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of the Longnan Municipality People’s Government, Ye Jinhua, Director of the Standing Committee of Longnan Municipality Congress, Liao Donggen, Deputy Secretary of the Longnan Municipality Party Committee, as well as the leaders Li Junfeng, Liao Xiaobo, Li Hongping and Guo Zhiyong from the Longnan Economic Development Zone (Municipality), attended the ceremony.
Zhang Xiaokang pointed out that the official commencement of the Longnan Campus project marks a new historical stage in the construction of GMU's Longnan Campus, which will undoubtedly become the finishing touch of Longnan modernization construction and a powerful engine to promote the development of Longnan.
Zhang Xiaokang stressed that the construction of the Longnan Campus is a major decision to promote high-quality development and an important measure to deeply promote cooperation between a university and local areas, and that GMU will vigorously promote the school motto spirit of "Building Morality & Decency, Pursuing Truth & Innovation" and build the Longnan Campus into a high-quality campus featuring complete functions, reasonable structure, integration of industry and education, and integration of research and application, so as to compose a chapter of Chinese modernization in Jiangxi province.
Zhong Xuhui pointed out that the smooth launch of the construction project of the Longnan Campus of GMU obtains the strong support of provincial and municipal leaders, the full trust of GMU, and the hard-work of the cadres, and that the Longnan Campus will undoubtedly help improve the training ability of medical professionals, effectively promote the high-quality development of education and medical undertakings in Longnan, and inject strong momentum for striving to create a leading area for the development of Jiangxi counties of Chinese modernization.
Zhong Xuhui emphasized that parties concerned will take the project launch as the starting point, fully support and serve the project construction, and sincerely express the hope that GMU and the construction party will work together with Longnan Municipality People’s Government, strengthen confidence, strictly control quality and safety, promote project construction with high standard, high quality, and high efficiency, and ensure that the project is completed on schedule.
After the ceremony, a symposium was held for the construction project of the Longnan Campus. The overall progress report of the project was presented, and Ye Junming introduced the preparations for the beginning of the school year. The attendees had exchange around the problems that need to be solved for the beginning of the school year.
GMU leaders concerned, as well as relevant personnel from the Longnan Campus Working Group, participated in the above activities.
