Since August 11, 14 students of the Department of Psychology of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) went to the Civilization Practice Center in the New Era of each county in Ganzhou as volunteers. They participated in the Summer Vacation Civilization Practice in the New Era to care about the mental health of juveniles, which was co-sponsored by the Department of Propaganda of Ganzhou Party Committee, the Civilization Office of Ganzhou, the Health Committee of Ganzhou and the Communist Youth League of Ganzhou.

    During the one-month activity, the volunteers followed the volunteer service group to carry out activities based on their professional psychology skills. Each activity was divided into 4 stages, namely, watching a science video, listening to a lecture, playing a group game and doing an interaction. They provided mental health consultation services for people, answered people’s questions, popularized mental health knowledge and imparted mental health education skills, and helped to build civilized practice sites in the new era.

    During the activity, the volunteers of GMU were active practitioners of the Healthy China Strategy, and they showed their sense of responsibility and mission, which were affirmed by the practice sites. The volunteers said that the activity was very meaningful, which not only helped the mental health growth of juveniles, but also increased their knowledge and skills.
