May 17 is the World Hypertension Day. In order to promote the prevention and treatment of hypertension and improve the health literacy of teachers and students, the School of General Medicine (SGM) organized teachers and students to carry out the "World Hypertension Day" publicity activity with the theme of "Accurate Measurement, Effective Control, Health and Longevity" in the Huangjin Campus. More than 100 teachers and students’ representatives attended it.

At the event site, as the main force of the activity, the SGM freshmen methodically provided blood pressure measurement, publicity materials, health consultation and other services for teachers, students and staff. More than 500 publicity materials were distributed, and more than 800 people received free measurement and knowledge consultation of hypertension.

"Although I'm a freshman, it's nice to measure blood pressure for teachers and students." said Yu Xiaonan, a freshmen from the undergraduate Orientation Class of Batch 2021 majoring in clinical medicine.
