Since January 9, the Students Affairs Division of GMU acted as the captain to organize all schools to carry out the online and offline visits to the poverty-stricken students in winter vacation, offering the New Year red packet money and gifts and extending sincere wishes.

The leaders of each school in charge of students affairs led a team to visit poverty-stricken students, knew the status quo of their families on the spot, and brought rice, flour, oil, milk, other goods and the New Year red packet money for them. As for students outside of Ganzhou and Jiangxi province, leaders communicated with them and their families via online video.

During the visits, the leaders learned a lot about the families status quo, including the actual difficulties, informed the parents of their sons or daughters’ study and living conditions at school, and introduced GMU's subsidy regulations. They also encouraged the students to focus on learning professional skills, be self-reliant and grateful, so as to achieve outstanding achievements.

Parents of the students expressed gratitude for the care and support offered by the school, saying that they would actively cooperate with the school so that their sons/daughters can successfully graduate. The students said that they would cherish time and study hard for professional skills, so as to make contributions to their families and the society.
