During the winter vacation, in accordance with the unified arrangements of GMU, the International Education College (IEC) made plans and key arrangements for the holiday life of international students staying on campus at the end of the semester in advance. A detailed holiday work plan was formulated, and multiple measures were taken to ensure campus safety and stability. IEC earnestly provided service for the study and life of international students staying on campus during the 2025 winter vacation, enabling them to have a fulfilling and meaningful Spring Festival and winter break.

First, strengthen the information management of international students. IEC implemented a regular check-in and reporting mechanism. International students are required to check in and locate themselves daily through the online platform Xuexitong, ensuring that IEC can keep track of the dynamics of each international student in real-time. At the same time, IEC strictly enforces the reporting system for international students leaving Jiangxi Province. Both international students returning to their home countries and those traveling within China are required to fill out an application form for going out before leaving school, clearly stating their detailed destinations and return times, and keep their communication channels unblocked.

Second, strictly implement the daily duty work. Duty teachers conduct daily inspections of international students' dormitories, focusing on checking electrical safety, fire safety, and dormitory hygiene to prevent safety accidents. IEC leaders also took the lead in inspecting the dormitories on the first day of the Lunar New Year. In addition, duty teachers have heart-to-heart talks with students to deeply understand their ideological trends and living needs, promptly solve their practical difficulties, resolve potential contradictions and disputes, and thus enhance the teacher-student relationship.

Third, arrange holiday teaching and cultural activities properly. IEC arranged winter vacation Chinese teaching activities. International students, especially batch 2024 freshmen, strengthened their Chinese learning during the vacation in hope of passing the HSK-4 in March. The Spring Festival tea-party was rich and colorful. International students were very happy and grateful for GMU's care, which enabled them to have a deep understanding and recognition of Chinese Spring Festival culture. In addition, IEC assisted international students in arranging sports activities. The above efforts helped promote students' mental health and cultivate their love for IEC in every possible way.
