On January 15, the 2024 conference of the Central Soviet Area University Library Alliance (CSAULA) was held at the Longnan Campus of GMU. The annual meeting is organized by GMU Library and supported by Jiangxi Chaoxing Technology Co., Ltd. Leaders of alliance member libraries, award-winning essay authors, and business backbones attended the conference.
The conference is held in three stages. The first stage is the alliance council meeting. Liu Lian, the director of GMU Library, presented the alliance's 2024 work report, which reviewed the work achievements of the alliance over the past year in fully implementing the fundamental task of moral education and talent cultivation, focusing on resource co-construction and sharing, improving information literacy, promoting reading culture, strengthening inter-library exchanges, and promoting career development. The second stage is the academic annual conference, inviting Hao Qianpeng from Jiangxi Chaoxing Information Technology Co., Ltd. to give an academic report titled "Exploration of AI driven innovation in library mobile services" and a round-table forum titled "Where should library services go under AI". The third stage is the handover of the Alliance Rotation. Liu Lian reviewed in detail the work achievements of the past year. Li Yun, the representative of the new rotating library, took over the alliance card and promised to actively play a leading role in deepening inter-library cooperation and expanding service areas in the coming year.
At the conference, Cai Furui, the director of the library of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, announced the recognition decision. A total of 10 academic papers and business cases were received, and the expert groups scientifically selected the excellent level ones. Wang Xihe, the director of the library of Jinggangshan University, presented medals to the excellent organization award units of the 3rd "Wanfang Cup" Information Literacy Challenge Contest, and invited Li Yun, the director of the library of Ganzhou Teachers College, to award the award-winning individuals.
