On December 9, the Institute of International Education organized international students coming to China to go to DC International Digital Nomad Village, Shijiao Commune, Shashi Town, to carry out the social practice activities of "Hakka Non-heritage Culture". Through field experience, hands-on practice and rural visits, it helps international students to perceive the profound heritage of Hakka culture while walking, and further promotes the college. Tell Chinese stories well, educate people with culture, and practice educate people to deepen.

During the activity, the students first learned about the development concept and lifestyle of the digital nomad village. Through the on-site explanation of non-genetic inheritors, the international students learned the historical origin and technical techniques of Hakka blue dyeing, and carried out tie-dyeing and creation under the guidance. Each of them completed a small square scarf work, and also cooperated to dye large-scale fabrics. In addition, everyone also experienced Hakka bamboo knitting and made simple coasters and small bamboo baskets.

Xie Rui, deputy director of the Cultural Tourism Bureau of Zhanggong District, and Zhang Zhang, a member of the traditional war of the government of Shashi Town, participated in the activity together, accompanying international students to visit the orchards and vegetable fields of local farmers, and introducing the rural development concept of Shijiao Commune and the overview of Hakka culture. International students communicate with farmers during picking and feel the local life up close.

In recent years, the Institute of International Education has continuously carried out various forms of cultural experience and social practice activities for international students, and gradually formed a cultural practice brand with the characteristics of the college. Helping international students have a more intuitive and in-depth understanding of Chinese culture has become a vivid practice of "telling Chinese stories and spreading Chinese voices".
