On the evening of September 17, President Liu Qian gave the Anti-pandemic Ideological and Political Lesson as well as the entrance education for the freshmen. The entrance education aroused a heated response from the attendees under the theme “Knowing the trend of the world, Understanding GMU history and Loving GMU”. Vice-President Ye Junming, representatives of medical workers, leaders of relevant departments and all the counselors of freshmen attended the activity.

    Before the class, Liu Qian led over 2,000 freshmen and teachers’ representatives sing a song “My Motherland and I”.
    During the class, Liu Qian first made an objective analysis and comparison of the development and current situation of the pandemic at home and abroad. And then, he narrated the value pursuit of GMU’s teachers and students through illustrating their stories during the anti-pandemic period. At last, he encouraged student to feel the Chinese spirit and strength in the practice of fighting against the pandemic, so as to enhance their sense of national pride and confidence.

    Liu Qian gave new students a unique course on the history of GMU from the aspects of GMU teaching characteristics, outstanding alumni and so on.
    Witnessed by President Liu Qian and medical workers’representatives, the freshmen of Batch 2020 made a vow to medical students in a strong and clear voice.

    Being broadcast live, this lesson was divided into the Huangjin Campus branch venue and the Zhanggong Campus branch venue. More than 2,800 freshmen attended the activity.
