China President Xi Jinping pointed out that the aesthetic education in school should be strengthened and improved in an all-round way, and that students should be educated through aesthetic and culture education to improve their aesthetic and humanistic qualities. On September 7, in order to implement the President’s important spirit, GMU held the Special Lecture of Campus-oriented Elegant Art to carry out the aesthetic education in the Multifunctional Lecture Hall of the Administrative Building in the Huangjin Campus. Shou Jiahua, the President of China Ornamental Stone Association, was invited to deliver a speech under the theme ofA Miracle of Chinese Traditional Culture--An Introduction to Chinese Stone Appreciation Culture. GMU Vice-President Ye Junming hosted the lecture.
Li Gongjin, the Secretary of GMU Party Committee, Deng Haiying, the Director of Ganzhou Natural Resources Bureau, Vice-President Chen Liang, Jia Junxiang, the Director of China Ornamental Stone Association Office, and more than 400 teachers and students, listened to the lecture.

    Shou Jiahua explained China Ornamental Stone Association’s implementation of President Xi Jinping’s spirit of “Creating an opportunity in the risks, and opening a new situation in the ever-changing world” from the standpoints of science and culture and art at length. She also concentrated on the central work of CPC, established a new concept of stone appreciation culture, strengthened people’s confidence in the excellent traditional Chinese stone appreciation culture and took new measures, etc, which made contributions to the sustainable and health development of stone appreciation career and industry. 
    With rich knowledge and experience, Shou Jiahua offered an artistic feast for the teacher and students.

    Students said that the lecture helped teachers and students to improve their aesthetic qualities and deepen their understanding, which raised students’ consciousness of beauty and affected everyone through aesthetic education and traditional culture.
    Lian Lu, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), said that GMU will strengthen and improve aesthetic education to enhance students’ aesthetic ability and humanistic quality. In addition, through the establishment of stone culture exhibition hall and the opening of stone appreciation and aesthetic education teaching courses, more young students can have the opportunity to feel and understand the beauty, and form a unique style, which is a beneficial practice and exploration to train socialist builders and successors with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education.
