On the morning of July 28, jointly built by GMU and Ganzhou Medical Security Bureau, the Ganzhou Medical Security Research Institute enjoyed an Opening Ceremony in GMU.

    President Liu Qian and Li Weiguo, the Director of Ganzhou Medical Security Bureau, jointly launched the ceremony for the Ganzhou Medical Security Research Institute. Ye Junming, the Vice-President of GMU, and Xue Bin, the Deputy-Director of Ganzhou Medical Security Bureau, signed the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation in Medical Security Research on behalf of both sides. Peng Weijie, the Vice-President of GMU, hosted the ceremony.

    First of all, Li Weiguo expressed his warm congratulations on the establishment of Ganzhou Medical Security Research Institute, and said that medical insurance was related to people’s well-being and must be based on long-term planning. He added that under the rapid development and reform of medical security, the establishment of the research institute not only pooled the wisdom of both sides to jointly serve the reform and development of medical security, but also promoted the disciplines construction and development of GMU through the establishment of a high-level research platform, which can contribute to the construction of the medical security system with Chinese characteristics.

    Liu Qian extended a warm welcome to all the leaders and guests, and extended heartfelt thanks to everyone for the long-term care and support and help to GMU. He pointed out that the construction of the research Institute met the requirements of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, and it was also the duty of GMU to cooperate with Ganzhou Medical Security Bureau. He said that GMU will give full support, give play to its own expertise and closely strengthen the contact with the Ganzhou Medical Security Bureau, jointly promote the construction of the research institute, and make positive contributions to improving the level of medical insurance governance in Ganzhou and serving the medical insurance, medical treatment and medicine linkage reform of Ganzhou.

    It is reported that by integrating the academic strength of GMU and the government resources of Ganzhou, the institute is positioned as a high-end local think tank research platform, which will provide professional support for the medical insurance policy decision-making and medical insurance management services of Ganzhou Medical Security Bureau, as well as the construction of Ganzhou's advanced medical insurance system and policy system. The institute is mainly responsible for the construction of medical insurance system and governance system, medical insurance payment and performance eva luation, medical insurance fund risk and supervision, price setting and eva luation of medical services, medical insurance catalogue, medical insurance handling services and eva luation and medical insurance personnel training and other affairs.
    After the ceremony, Peng Weijie accompanied the delegation to visited GMU Human Life Science Museum.
