On the morning of July 31, GMU held the Employment Promotion Meeting for Graduates of 2020 via videoconferencing, which aimed to implement the national policies concerned and expand the employment channels for the unemployed graduates, and comprehensively improve the employment quality. Zhang Xiaokang, the Vice-President of GMU, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. At the meeting, the Division of Recruitment & Career Guidance reported the recent employment data and communicated the recruitment plan of Kezhou, Xinjiang, and the relevant national and local employment policies, and the next employment plan, and then each School reported the data of unemployed graduates and reasons and the specific measures.
    Zhang Xiaokang pointed out that the Division of Recruitment & Career Guidanceand Schools had done a lot of work in the early stage, but more work needed to be done to meet the province's employment target. Currently, it was the final stage of employment for graduates. Zhang Xiaokang demanded that the provincial employment target must be achieved on the premise of ensuring the truth of the data, and that GMU should carry out the key assistance task for the registered poor graduates from Hubei province and other unemployed graduates. GMU’s leaders will offer one-to-one help. In the following month, each School should regard employment work as the top priority of its work, and make every effort to ensure the goal of promoting employment. The Division of Recruitment & Career Guidancewill push employment information according to the specialty needs of the School, continue to organize 1 or 2 online job fairs, and strive to provide the most jobs. At last, he mentioned that a weekly employment promotion meeting will be held in August, and the President, Secretaries and Deans will be invited to attend the meeting if necessary.
