On the morning of June 11, Wen Yanghan, the President of Gannan Academy of Sciences (GAS), Zhu Enhua, the GAS Vice-President, and Wang Lanying, the Director of Forestry Research Institute of Ganzhou, visited GMU. Li Gongjin, the Secretary of GMU Party Committee, attended the meeting.

    Li Gongjin extended a welcome to the delegation. He required the members of GMU’s Camellia Research and Development Team to conduct in-depth investigation, know the market demand and find the correct direction. He stressed that the members should make contributions to the innovation of the deep process technology, transformation of the achievements and the extension of the industry chain so as to boost the socio-economic development of Jiangxi Province.
    Fan Xiaona, the Director of the Division of Scientific Research, introduced the research achievements of Camellia Center in GMU in recent years. The Doctors attending the meeting respectively introduced their researches on camellia in detail. Wang Lanying hoped to cooperate with GMU’s Camellia Research and Development Team in terms of oil yield of the high production camellia seeds and the improvement and cultivation of the special-purpose camellia.

    Wen Yanghan said that the equipments in the Camellia Center Lab of GMU were advanced and complete, which set up a good platform for the research and development of camellia back-end products and the transformation of achievements. What’s more, the research and development team was mainly composed of young Doctors with powerful technology strength and innovative thinking. He hoped that GMU can strengthen further cooperation with Gannan Academy of Sciences and that both sides can jointly construct the National (Ganzhou, Jiangxi) Camellia Industry Park.
