    On the afternoon of March 16, GMU President Liu Qian expressed sympathy to the First Affiliated Hospital of GMU (FAHGMU) Medical Team offering Hubei Province assistance by video on the 79th anniversary of the founding of GMU.

    Xu Xiaojun, the Vice-President, the head of the 6th medical team offering Hubei Province assistance, and Chen Yijian, the Vice-President of FAHGMU and the head of the medical team offering Suizhou assistance, respectively reported the assistance work to Hubei Province, the achievements, life and physical condition of the team members, and expressed their confidence in winning the war against the pandemic.

    After hearing the reports, Liu Qian praised the performance of those FAHGMU medical staff.
    Liu Qian pointed out that the medical team having made contributions to the COVID-19 prevention and control of Hubei Province were models for teachers and students of GMU, vivid teaching materials for medical education, the most beautiful angels and true heroes.
Liu Qian demanded that all medical teams resolutely obey the unified command and dispatch, closely cooperate with local medical staff, jointly improve the cure rate, reduce the mortality rate, make contributes to the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Hubei Province, strengthen self-protection, ensure "zero infection" and come back safely.
    Zhang Xiaokang, GMU Vice-President and Secretary of the Party Committee of FAHGMU, accompanied Liu Qian for sympathy expression, saying that GMU and FAHGMU will do their utmost to provide logistical services and take good care of the family members of the medical team.
    The medical team members unanimously said that they did bear in mind the entrustment, shoulder the responsibility and mission and show the demeanor of GMU in the new era.
