GMU Holds the Evening Gala for the 70th ACFNC and the Freshmen

    On September 27th, hosted by the Youth League Committee of GMU, the Evening Gala for the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Founding of New China (ACFNC) and the Freshmen under the theme “Youth for Motherland, Glorification for New Era” was held in Huangjin Campus. GMU leaders Li Gongjin, Liu Qian, Zeng Zexin, Ye Junming, Xiao Shuhui, watched the gala with more than 2,000 teachers and students.
    The gala was divided into 3 chapters, namely, Dreams &Advance, Missions & Responsibility, Aspirations & Endeavor. It gave a display to the glorious years of the Chinese nation, showing the great achievements of the new China over the past 70 years and praising the patriotic feelings of the national heroes and the models of the times.
    The gala kicked off in the dance "We are all Dreamers" from School of Information Engineering. The reading of "Revolutionists’ Book" from the School of Pharmacy aroused the resonance of teachers and students "Never Forget the Past, this Generation can be Self-reliant". The song and dance “Xiangwang” or “Longing” from School of Basic Medicine Sciences (SBMS), the sitcom “Fighting Spirit” from the Military Training Instructor Team, and the poetry recital "The Youth Oath to Motherland" from the Division of Graduates’ Affairs, gave a display to GMU students' enthusiasm for the spirit of the red doctor inheritance and the youth contributions to motherland. Combining tradition with fashion, blending tenderness and passion, the dance “Dingbu Bridge Shui Qing Youyou” or “Dingbu Bridge Enjoys the Clear Water” from the School of the First Clinical Medicine Sciences (SFCMS), the dance “Si Lu Fengqing” from School of International Education, the dance “Healthy Move” from School of Rehabilitation, the song and dance “Angel in White” from School of Nursing, gave birth to a cheerful atmosphere. The song, poem and painting "Choice in the Name of Youth" from the College Students Arts Troupe, the song and dance "Never Forget the Original Aspirations" from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, gave a display to GMU students’ fine spiritual outlook and their great dreams, winning warm applause from the audience on the spot.
    The gala reached the climax in the chorus “My Motherland and I”. With the music, the teachers and students waved the flag in hand, enthusiastically singing their love for the motherland, which the gala ended with a complete success.
    After the performance, GMU leaders and the performers took group photos together.
