On the morning of May 31, Xiamen Medical College (XMC) President Wu Xiaonan, together with his delegation, paid a visit to GMU. GMU leaders Zhang Xiaokang, Peng Weijie, Huang Haijun, and Sheng Yaohuan, attended the relevant activities.

During the meeting, Zhang Xiaokang extended a warm welcome to President Wu Xiaonan and his delegation, and introduced the relevant work in terms of talents training with the revolutionary spirit, the training of general practitioners, GMU connotative development, the development of Gannan Translational Medicine Institute, and the application of doctoral degree authorization.

Zhang Xiaokang pointed out that XMC is a distinctive institute in developed coastal areas, that it achieved sustained and rapid development over past years, and that there were much experience and practices being worthy of study by GMU. He expressed the hope that both sides intensified exchange in the future to achieve the win-win development.

Wu Xiaonan introduced the history and development of XMC. He said that his visit to GMU for exchange was aimed at conducting in-depth research on the XMC Theme Education and enhancing the school-running capabilities, and that GMU enjoyed fast development based on the "5 Major Projects" promotion over past years.He expressed the hope that both sides will strengthen exchange in the future in terms of talent introduction, academic projects application, disciplines development, etc.

During the meeting, participants had in-depth exchange on medical students training, campus infrastructure improvement, majors development, and watched promotional videos of XMC together.

After that, Wu Xiaonan and his delegation visited the GMU History Museum, the Red Health History Museum, the Human Life Science Museum, the School of the First Clinical Medicine Sciences, the School of Nursing, etc.
