On June 7, Sheng Yaohuan, a member of the Party Committee and Vice-President of GMU, paid a visit to the Longnan Campus of GMU and the Longnan Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of GMU (FAHGMU). Liao Xiaobo, a Level-Ⅱ inspector of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Longnan, Hu Shengwen, Director of the Health Commission of Longnan, and Liao Liangyi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of Longnan Town, accompanied the visit.

Sheng Yaohuan first inspected the newly-built Teaching Building and Anatomy Building, as well as indoor sports venues, sports fields, academic lecture halls, and other teaching activity venues in Longnan Campus, and gained a detailed understanding of the construction of various teaching venues in Longnan Campus. During the report meeting, Sheng Yaohuan listened to the report from the School of Vocational Technology (SVT) on the construction and work of the Longnan Campus, and Liao Xiaobo further explained the construction of the Longnan Campus. Sheng Yaohuan stressed that the Longnan Campus should be built with high standards, accelerate the construction progress while ensuring quality, fully utilize existing resources, do a good job in majors development, and pursue a unique development path.

In the afternoon, Sheng Yaohuan and her delegation visited the Longnan Branch of the FAHGMU to conduct inspection on the teaching work and construction of clinical teaching and training bases in Longnan Hospital. She expressed recognition to the efforts and achievements of Longnan Hospital in teaching work. And she expressed the hope that Longnan Hospital should continuously improve its teaching hardware facilities, increase the training of hospital faculty and talent introduction efforts, and improve the quality of teaching in accordance with the construction standards of teaching hospitals.

Members from Academic Affairs Division, SVT, School of Public Health and Healthcare Management, School of Nursing, and School of Rehabilitation accompanied this visit.
